Magnetic resonance imaging with photo-CIDNP signal enhancement

Goal
This project aims to allow for strongly increased contrast and sensitivity in micro-MRI experiments.
Challenge
To this end, we will implement photochemical agents which produce nuclear hyperpolarization upon illumination by the so-called photo-CIDNP effect.
Impact
This project is expected to revolutionize micro-MRI since dramatic improvement by contrast and sensitivity will strongly improve resolution, machine time and sample size.
