PhD position (m/f/d) in Leipzig
A Ph.D. position is currently available at the Faculty of Chemistry and Mineralogy, Institute of Analytical Chemistry, in collaboration with the Faculty of Medicine, Institute of Medical Physics and Biophysics, at Leipzig University. The position is funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG) within the Collaborative Research Centre TRR-386 “Hyperpolarization in Molecular Systems.”
Within TRR-386, the Ph.D. student will work on a project aimed at improving the sensitivity, contrast, and spatial resolution of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) through the application of photo-CIDNP hyperpolarization for medical applications.
Requirements:
- MSc in (bio)physics, chemistry, or biochemistry.
- Background in NMR or MRI is appreciated but not required.
- Interest in hyperpolarization and optical techniques.
- Ability to work independently and creatively.
About the Position:
- until June 2027
- up to 75% of a full-time position.
- Planned remuneration: salary group E13 TV-L.
