Goal

This project aims to optimize rise and transport of hyperpolarization in helical molecules, in particular in direct and indirect contact at surfaces of magnetic thin film structure substrates

Challenge

To this end, we will investigate the role of self-assembly and molecular morphology as well as the effects of surface interactions, interface properties and magnetic substrate variation on the efficiency of the selective spin transport through helical molecules / magnetic thin film spin valve heterostructures.

Impact

This project is expected to improve understanding of the CISS and MIPAC effects, which give rise enantiomeric selectivity and deliver highly efficient organic spin filter devices.
