HYP*MOL programme at the Long Night of Science in Leipzig

20 June 2025 will be no ordinary day in Leipzig, but the Long Night of Science! Exciting events will take place at numerous locations, which you can find out about at this link. There is also a rich programme at the Faculty of Chemistry. HYP*MOL will be there for you at one of the stands with experiments and games.
Spinwissenschaften – Teilchen, die den Dreh raushaben (Spin sciences – Particles that have it (sp)in them!)
In small experiments, it is possible to make fluorescent minerals glow with UV light. The demonstration of magnetism on ferrofluid is to be investigated. The spinning top challenge (making as many spinning tops as possible spin in a tub) can be carried out. The scattering of light on a mixture of water and milk in an aquarium is investigated. The chemistry quiz with giant Jenga tower can be tried out.
By the way:In the other HYP*MOL city of Chemnitz, the Long Night of Science will take place on 10 May. If you can’t wait, you can drop by there!
